CORRECTIONS

Reference Checks makes factual claims about who cut a lacquer, which plant pressed a record, what a matrix runout says and what a copy costs. Some of them will be wrong. This is where the wrong ones go, with the date, what changed, and who caught it.

Every correction also lands at the bottom of the edition it affects, so a reader who finds that edition later sees the corrected version and the record of the change together.

What gets a correction

A factual error: a misattributed engineer, a wrong catalog number, a misidentified plant, a price that was never right, a session detail that doesn’t survive a primary source. These get fixed in the edition and logged here.

A verdict I’d call differently today doesn’t get a correction. Neither does a version you prefer to mine. Those are judgments and the judgment is the product. If new evidence changes the basis of a verdict, that’s evidence, and it gets logged here like anything else.
