The Cure is still in my favorites playlist. Similar to you, it was this album where my love of them started to fade as well. This is timely as my teenage daughter was asking me about The Cure the other day thanks to Olivia Rodrigo's new album which was heavily influenced by The Cure, the time period and even features Robert Smith. Whitney tells me her friends are now discovering The Cure for the first time. Ironic because it was high school and "Just Like Heaven" when I first discovered them as well. Thanks for sharing Craig. I look forward to going back and reading the other articles and I'll be watching for Bill Evans - he's one of my favorites. That album is framed and hanging on my home studio wall.
Love this. The Head on the Door is still my favorite.
Thanks, Bill! Funny how it works...a whole new generation finding The Cure through Olivia Rodrigo. Glad the band still has a place in your rotation.
